CAROB CANDY

When my Grandmother – Nana (Irene Jones Marshall) made this she was working at a Health Food Store. This is probably when I was first introduced to Carob (a healthier kind of chocolate), I loved it then and I love it now. Nana made a few different Carob recipes, but this was my favorite.

1        lb.     Carob or Carob Chops (or more)

1        C.      Peanut Butter

3       C.      Raw Granola  – Ground

1/2    C       Sesame Seeds  -Ground

1/2    C       Coconut – Ground

2       Tbl.  Brewers Yeast

1        C.      Instant Protein

2       C.      Walnut – Ground

1/3    C.      Sunflower seeds – Ground

Have all dry ingredients ground up and measured in a bowl.

Melt 1 lb. Carob (or more) in double boiler, then stir in Peanut Butter. Add to dry ingredients and mix – stir.
